Join Our Community Garden

The library is looking for community members (families, individuals, service groups) to plant and maintain a space in our accessible community garden this year. We have 8 raised beds (4’ x 3’ x 1’)  and 2 elevated handicap accessible beds (6’ x 2’ x 1’) for individuals with mobility issues.

Initial planting to be completed by May 31st. Excess produce can be placed in the library’s pantry area for people to take. Gardens should be watered two times per week and weeded regularly. Some gardening tools/equipment are available and CVPL has a seed library. We also will have plant starters available. Commitment runs from June to October. A representative from your plot must attend monthly library garden meetings (1st Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm @ Cherry Valley Public Library; June through October).
