Get Involved

The Friends of the Library are always looking for volunteers to assist with book sales and mini golf.  If you wish to volunteer in any capacity, please leave your name and contact information at the front desk or email us at friends@cherryvalleylib.org.  You may also fill out a volunteer application and our volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss available opportunities.

The Friends hold meetings quarterly to discuss upcoming fundraisers and projects that you can get involved in.

The Friends have recently sponsored the following projects for the library:

• Everbright light board purchased in 2024, located in our youth department

• Book Bike purchased in 2023 – brings programs and books to the community
• Hoopla digital library
• ComicsPlus
• Storytime tote bags

• Cricut digital die cut machine
• Book Pages book reviews

• Ongoing A-frame sale books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles – located just inside the front doors in library
• Assorted John Sloane puzzles

Spring

• Friends Preview Day – Friday, April 17 from 12pm-4pm
• Open to the public Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, April 26 – during regular library hours
• $3/bag sale Saturday, April 25 & Sunday, April 26

Summer

• Friends Preview Day – Monday, July 13 from 2pm-7pm
• Open to the public Tuesday, July 14 through Saturday, July 18 – during regular library hours

Fall

• Friends Preview Day – Friday, September 25 from 12pm-4pm
• Open to the public Saturday, September 26 through Sunday, October 4 – during regular library hours
• $3/bag sale Saturday, October 3 & Sunday, October 4

Winter

• Friends Preview Day – Friday, December 4 from 12pm-4pm
• Open to the public Saturday, December 5 through Sunday, December 13 – during regular library hours
